New "Eco" Initiatives from Green Insulation®!
The manufacturing of Australian reflective foil insulation continues to lead the way in driving down our carbon footprint.
The great news from Green Insulation® is that it has sourced the latest recycling technology from China which will soon be installed at their Meadowbrook Logan manufacturing plant. Green Insulation® manufacture a range of reflective foil insulation with air bubbles or cells sandwiched between two layers of 99% pure aluminium foil. The aluminium foil reflects up to 95% of radiant heat.
During the manufacturing process, a small amount of waste is trimmed from the edges. In the past, this waste has been dumped. No longer! Despite the very small amount of waste producing reflective foil insulation, even that will be recycled soon. This bodes well for the upcoming "Green Tag" ratings due in December from Eco-Specifier. Look forward to some excellent results.
Ray Stead, Managing Director of Green Insulation®, personally drives eco thinking within the company. Theoretically, the Australian reflective insulation manufacturing plant at Meadowbrook, Logan, uses as little as one eighth of the energy to manufacture compared to more mainstream insulation types such as fibreglass batts and fibreglass blanket. Refective Foil Insulation bucks the trends
Demand for Australian manufactured reflective aluminium foil insulation continues to grow despite cheap imports still being dumped.
The fortunes of Australian insulation manufacturers have been at the mercy of the economy, the Australian dollar, the building industry and the current Labor Government's unremarkable handling of fallout from the Home Insulation Rebate Scheme. Many have fallen victim to this barrage. However, Green Insulation® has bucked the trends and has actually achieved growth in sales.
Green Insulation® manufactures a range of reflective foil insulation that sandwiches a layer of polyethylene air cells between 2 layers of 99% pure aluminimum foil. Manufacturing of the highest standard takes place at their Meadowbrook Queensland plant. Whilst the "dumped" imported insulation deteriorates around the country, builders, trade and the DIY insulation users find faith in the newly manufactured local insulation products.

Manufacturing on the increase!
Australian manufacturing of Reflective Foil Insulation is increasing steadily.
Manufacturer of the Reflecta Range™ of reflective aluminium foil products, Green Insulation®, has announced a huge 20 % increase in production. "Demand is up, despite the government's best efforts to send us broke" says Managing Director, Ray Stead. "We're witnessing a real change in consumer sentiment brought about by people power".
The "people power" refered to by Ray is the sudden and dramatic increase in demand for Green Insulation® products since the inception of new online provider Insulation For Sale. Insulation For Sale are less than 2 months old, and already they are the largest customer of Green's reflective aluminium foil insulation products. "Most builders and architects are stuck in a rut" says Marketing Manager, Green Insulation®, Michael Muxworthy, "they use the same cheap imported rubbish over and over again. Insulation For Sale has give the Green range of reflective aluminium foil products are real presence in the marketplace. Trades and DIY are speaking out about the health and environmental hazards of these cheap imports. They want lasting quality tht won't interfere with their quality of health and life. Insulation For Sale gives them easy access to these qualit insulation products."
It would be true to say that much of the success achieved by Green Insulation® can be directly attributed to the Julia Gillard/Labor Government insulation rebate scheme. With solar panel companies now frequently in the news, one has to wonder if that industry will mirror the disasters experienced by the inept handling og the insulation rebate debacle. Government interference has never been a very good strategy for a productive outcome. Will we ever learn?
It seems not!
The carbon tax is yet another act of complete government stupidity ready to be unleashed. Even if it is 100% successful, it will probably take a hundred years to compensate for the environmental disaster caused by the insulation rebate scheme. However, this legislation does hold promise for giving advantage to a green and efficient insulation manufacturer such as Green Insulation. Any benefit attained by Green will probably not be enough to weigh against the drain it will place on the economy.
